(04/01/13) Manuel Vieira, 83, of West Warwick passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at home. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Lima) Vieira. Born in Terceira, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel and Maria Vieira.
Mr. Vieira was a Machine Operator for Victor Electric and Concordia until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing the guitar and accordion.
He was the loving father of Gilbert Vieira and his wife Liberta of East Providence and Manuel Vieira and his wife Mildred of West Warwick. Caring brother of Luis Vieira of California, Francisco Vieira of Portugal and Elvira Vieira of Portugal. Cherished grandfather of five and great-grandfather of three.
His funeral will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony s Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
