(10/02/10) Mary Ellen Casey (Kelly), 80, of Twin Oak Drive, died Friday at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Patrick J. Casey, Jr. Born in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Matthew J. and Mary C. (Sedlacek) Kelly, she had been a Warwick resident for 47 years. A graduate of the Sacred Heart Academy, Elmhurst and Manhattanville College, Mrs. Casey worked for the New England Telephone Company and was a grammar school teacher in Warwick before becoming a homemaker and raising her family. She was communicant of Saint Timothy Church and a member of the Women’s Club. Mrs. Casey was an antiques enthusiast. An extraordinary woman, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, she continuously taught and inspired through her daily life. Her compassion will resonate in the hearts of all those she loved. She leaves 1 son, Patrick J. Casey III of Warwick; 2 daughters, Julie M. Casey and Margaret A. Casey both of Warwick; a son-in-law, Christopher J. Holm, 2 granddaughters, Christiana and Isabella. She was the sister of the late Matthew H. Kelly and dear friend of the late Mamie L. Dutton. She also leaves her life long friend, Patsy Thompson. Her funeral will be Tuesday at 9 AM from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick at 10 AM. Calling Hours Monday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to St. Timothy Church Memorial Fund will be appreciated. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Condolences please visit www.trainorfh.com
