(04/24/13) Anna L. (Golato) Pinga, 81, of West Warwick, passed away Tuesday, April 23rd at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph Pinga. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Adeline (Cicchitti) Golato.
Mrs. Pinga was the owner and operator of Westcott Bakery since 1956. Her main priority in life was her family and cooking. She was a member of the Sons of Italy, Lombardi Lodge and the Democratic Senate District 9 Committee.
She was the beloved mother of Hon. Michael J. Pinga, former Senator Dist. 9 West Warwick, Louis J. Pinga of West Warwick, JoAnna Pinga and her husband Leonard Arvidson, Jr. of Coventry and the late Joseph P. Pinga. Caring mother-in-law of Brenda Pinga. Loving grandmother of Melissa, Joseph Jr., Nicole and Michaella Pinga. Cherished sister of Nicholas Golato and Dorothy Buccini, both of Warwick and the late Evelyn Bove. She also leaves her beloved dog, Bella.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 4-7 pm.
