(10/09/13) FORD, Edward F., 94, of St. Mary Street, West Warwick, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at Kent Hospital.
He was the husband of Alice V. (McManus) Ford, they had been married for 66 years. Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Philip A. and Margaret (Bagley) Ford. He was a resident of West Warwick for most of his life.
Mr. Ford was employed at the former Apponaug Print Works, Concordia Mfg. and St. James Church for many years before retiring in 1984. He was a WW II Army Veteran and an avid Red Sox fan.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Michael J. Ford of Portsmouth and Philip F. Ford of West Warwick; a daughter, Catherine M. Toth and her husband Daniel of Norwalk, CT, five grandchildren and a great grandson. He was the father of the late Thomas E. Ford and brother of the late Ellen Potter, Mary and John Ford.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at 9:00 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in St. John the Baptist Church, Washington St., West Warwick. Interment will follow with military honors in RI Veterans Cemetery.
