Giulio A Ciafrei - , RI

(02/20/14) Giulio A. Ciafrei, 81, of West Warwick passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Donna L. (Palumbo) Ciafrei, they would have celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary on October 20th. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Giulio G. and Carmella (DiCarlo) Ciafrei. Mr. Ciafrei was a Mason and Foreman for Quonset Naval Air Station from 1964-74 and at the Newport Naval Base from 1975 until his retirement in 1995. He also served with The United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the National Preservation Society and American Legion and a past member of the East Natick Vets Club. An avid golfer, he was a forty-year member of Woodland Greens in North Kingstown. He was a fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. Giulio was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by his wife, daughter and extended family. He was the loving father of Rebecca Ann Ciafrei of West Warwick. Caring brother of Anna Hinckley of West Warwick and the late Joseph E. Ciafrei. Cherished son-in-law of Virginia Palumbo of Narragansett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 8:45 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2014 from 3-5 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
