(03/07/14) Eileen C. (Jacobson) Dubois, 81, of Wells Street, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at home. She was the beloved wife of Albert C. Dubois. Mr. and Mrs. Dubois celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on April 18, 2013.
A lifelong resident of West Warwick and a daughter of the late Harry E. and Blanche (Valley) Jacobson, she graduated from West Warwick High School in 1950. She worked as a sales associate for Fanny Farmer Candy for 19 years retiring in 2000.
She was a communicant of Christ the King Church and a volunteer at Grandmaâs Attic. She was a member of West Warwick AARP and a volunteer also at the West Warwick Assistance Agency Food Cupboard.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter: Susan Kerins and her husband Jeffrey of Coventry; her son: Steven Dubois and his wife Cheryl of Bradford; her three sisters: Shirley Singleton of Marlboro, MA, Harriett Laboissonniere and Carol Silva both of West Warwick and her four grandchildren: Justin, Matthew, Shane and Cayla.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 10 at 9:00 am from Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Church, 120 Legris Avenue, West Warwick at 10:00 am. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 â 7:00 PM. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
