(03/26/14) West Warwick - Carl F. Wald, 89, formerly of Deer Run Road, died Friday, March 21, 2014 at Brentwood Nursing Home in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Marianne (Blotcheuzcu) Wald. Mr. and Mrs. Wald celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on May 3, 2013.
Born in New York, NY, a son of the late Karl E. and Johanna (Bauer) Wald, he grew up in the Bronx, served in the United States Navy during World War II and lived in West Warwick since November of 1996.
For 41 years he worked as a procurement officer, sub-contractor and contract administrator employed last by Defense Contract Administration Services, Defense Logistics Agency in New York City.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters: Bonnie L. Brown and her husband Gregory of Reading, PA and Belinda L. Riggs and her husband Robert of Hamilton, NJ; two step-children: Beatrice Dalfonso and her husband Joe of East Greenwich and Alexandre Haran of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren: Garth, Makenzie, Sean, Michael, Janine & Gabrielle and one great granddaughter, Sydney. He was the brother of the late Helen Wald.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service from 10:00 â 11:00. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
