(05/19/14) FORTIN, Leon W. âLeeâ, 83, of Warwick, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014.
He was the beloved husband of Claire (Bolduc) Fortin; they had been married for 62 years. He was a lifelong resident of Warwick and a son of the late William E. and Henriette (Toupin) Fortin.
Lee was the owner of L.W. Fortin Consultants. Prior to the formation of that firm, he was employed for several years by the Wright Line Corporation as their Sourcing Manager.
Lee was a life member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He served as Chairman of Region I (New England and New York) and received many honors from the Society, including the SME Award of Merit. He was also selected to serve two terms as an International Director of SME.
Besides his wife he was the proud and loving father of Collette (Berry Davis) of Celina, Ohio and Celine (Bernard Viggiani) of Toms River, NJ and two grandsons, Adam and Lee Viggiani.
His funeral will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 8:45 am from the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Kevin Church 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Interment will follow St. Joseph Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 4-7 pm.
