(08/13/14) GUTOWSKI, M. Hazel, 93, a lifelong resident of West Warwick, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014 at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Boleslawa (Musczynski) Gutowski.
Hazel was a supervisor at the former Trifari Jewelry Mfg. for many years before retiring. She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church and was a member of the Kent Hospital Womenâs Auxiliary.
She is survived by her nieces, Rebecca Handy and Jane (Mark) Streeter both of West Warwick and Susan (Darryl) Lee of Honolulu, HI; her nephews, Michael Cayouette, John (Paulette) Stetkiewicz, David (Ellen) Stetkiewicz, John (Lisa) Handy all of West Warwick and Steven (Diane) Cayouette of Coventry; thirteen great nieces and nephews and seven great great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Josephine V. Gutowski, Bernarda A. Stetkiewicz, Clara A. Cayouette and Norberta S. Handy and aunt of the late Karen Petty and Gerald Stetkiewicz.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014 from 9:00-10:30 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, Washington St., Coventry. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to West View Nursing Center Activities Fund, 239 Legris Ave., West Warwick, RI 02893 in her memory would be appreciated.
