(11/15/10) Margaret “Kathy” (Kavanaugh) Steinman, 73, of Bellman Ave., died Tuesday November 9, 2010 in Kent Hospital. She was the wife for 51 years of Alphonse W. Steinman; mother of Julie S. King; grandmother of Georgia, Virginia and Carolina King; sister of Rev. John F. Kavanaugh S.J. & Thomas P. Kavanaugh and his wife Maureen of St. Louis, MO; daughter of the late John and Julia (Connally) Kavanaugh; sister-in-law of Sr. M. Evelyn, Sr. Loreda, and Sr. Donna Marie Steinman, Catherine Meyer all of St. Louis, MO and Edmund Steinman of Cherry Hill, NJ; cousin of Maureen Murphy and her daughter Maureen Tierney of West Warwick, RI and a dearest aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many. Kathy taught elementary school at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School in St. Louis for over 40 years. She was a devoted teacher and was also a Girl Scout leader for many years. Friends are welcomed Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 9:15 - 10:15 am in the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick, RI followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Benedict’s Church, 135 Church Ave., Warwick, RI.
