(12/02/14) Coventry - George Donall, 88, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Hopkins Manor in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Claire J. (Closterman) Donall to whom he was married 63 years.
Born in Teaneck, NJ, the son of the late Neil Muller and the late Elizabeth Donall, he had lived in Coventry since 1950. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. George worked as a tool buyer, employed by General Dynamics for 25 years until his retirement in 1989.
He was a former Scout Leader with Troop 12, Washington; a member of the former Church of St. Andrew & St. Philip, Coventry and an auxiliary fireman in New Jersey and also with the Tiogue Fire District in Coventry.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Karen J. Carlow of Coventry and Jane F. Giglietti & her husband Christopher of Rockville, RI; one son: David G. Donall & his wife Cindy of Oneco, CT; seven grandsons and two great grandchildren.
Funeral service Thursday, December 4 at 10:00 AM in St. Luke\'s Episcopal Church, 99 Peirce Street, East Greenwich. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Coventry.
