(01/28/15) Joseph A. Toolin, 65, of Warwick passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, New London, CT. He was the beloved husband of Helen E. (Corcoran) Toolin.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Francis J. and Rita D. (Hogan) Toolin.
Mr. Toolin was an Electrician for General Dynamics in Groton, CT. He was a member of St. William Parish in Warwick, I.B.E.W., R.I. Yacht Club and an avid Harley-Davidson Rider.
He was the loving father of Jennifer L. Porter and her husband Allen of Warwick and Rebecca L. Laliberte and her husband Joseph of Cranston and foster father of Donald Cabral of Warwick and Tiara Cabral of Cranston. Devoted grandfather of Willow Raine Porter. Caring brother of John B. Toolin of Florida, Dorothy A. McCarthy of West Warwick, William F. Toolin of Warwick and the late Francis J. Toolin. Cherished uncle of several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 8:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8 pm.
