(05/05/15) Ford, Joseph C., 92, passed away on Tuesday, May 05, 2015 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the husband of Madeline M. (Stanley) Ford of West Warwick. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late William E. and Silvana (Carvalho) Ford.
Joe was a truck driver for more than 60 years for companies such as Raymond Higgins, Eastern Toy, and C. L. Guild Construction; he was also the owner of Golden Eagle Transportation. Joe, in his spare time, loved gardening, woodworking, and talking on the CB radio where he was known as âCaptainâ.
Joe was the father of fourteen children: Shirley Handy, Carol Kindberg,
the late Albert Ford, Joyce Ullucci, Joseph Ford, Joseph M. Ford, Deborah McKanna, Henry Ford, William Ford, Madeline Auger, Richard Ford, Kathleen Chase, Charles Ford and Susan Poncin, and also the Grandfather of four generations of grandchildren.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 10:30 AM followed with interment and military honors at RI Veterans Cemetery.
