(05/27/15) TAVARES, Paula M. (Amaral), 82, of 825 Wakefield Street, West Warwick, passed away Tuesday morning, May 26, 2015 at Kent Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of the late Eduardo A. Tavares. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Francisco Raposo and Maria Amaral.
Mrs. Tavares was an inspector at Holiday Products, Inc. for many years prior to retirement. She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality and the Holy Ghost Society.
She is survived by two daughters, Maria Barao and her husband John of Warwick and Ana Liles and her husband Andrew of West Warwick; two sisters, Fernanda Couto of Coventry and Margarida Faria of West Warwick; a brother, John Raposo in Florida and five grandchildren, James, Jacqueline, Gayla, Melu and Marisel Liles. She was the sister of the late Aida Terceria, Jose Amaral, Manuel, Francisco, Antonio and Louis Raposo.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 9 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Ave., West Warwick. Interment will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Coventry. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 pm.
