(07/08/15) Maynard, Honorius L., Jr., âGusâ, 89, of Lanphear St., West Warwick, passed away, Friday, July 3, 2015 at Kent Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Yvette A. (Bard) Maynard. Born in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Honorius & Flora (Tellier) Maynard.
Mr. Maynard was a grocery manager at several area markets for many years before retiring. He was a WW II Army Veteran and a member of the West Warwick American Legion Post 2.
He is survived by three children, Ronald R. Maynard, Lt. Col., USAF (Ret.) and his wife Un Jong of Loveland, CO, Paulette Y. Pelletier and her husband Dennis of Narragansett and Jacqueline J. Ramos and her husband Jeffrey of Warwick; a dear friend, Janet Achey of Coventry, three siblings, Gerard Maynard and Constance Maynard both of West Warwick, and J. Roger Maynard of Irving, TX; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Richard D. Maynard and brother of the late Mariette Souliere, Paul E. Maynard and Jeannine Dupont.
Visitation and funeral will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 8:30-9:30 am in the HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 5 Eddy St., West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in SS. John and James Parish of St. John the Baptist Church, Washington St., West Warwick. Interment with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
