(09/27/15) WHITMAN, Kenneth C., 88, of Richardson Road, Coventry, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 at the Jane Brown Unit of RI Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of the late Mary F. (Cocroft) Whitman. Born in Cranston, a son of the late Charles F. and Elizabeth (Bender) Whitman.
Mr. Whitman was a hydraulic assembler at Brown & Sharpe for 35 years before retiring. He was a WW II Army Veterans and a member of the Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge #8
He is survived by a daughter, Leslie F. Knight and her husband George of Coventry; a brother, Leonard Whitman of Chaplin, CT; a sister, Pearl Burnside of Lincoln; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Kenneth D. Whitman.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 from 9:00 - 10:45 am in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence St., West Warwick followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
