(02/24/16) SMITH, Dennis S., 52, of McNiff St., West Warwick, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016.
Born in Providence, he was the son of Robert E. Smith of Chesterville, Maine and the late June (Girard) Smith.
Dennis was a delivery manager at Papa Ginos on East Greenwich Ave. in West Warwick for 23 years. He was a 1981 Graduate of Cumberland High School and served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed spending time with his family, helping others, taking care of his late cat, P. Kiddy and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Washington Red Skins.
Besides his father he leaves his siblings, Elizabeth Smith, Susan Blackwelder, Cindy Pineda, Russell Smith and Bruce Smith; step-siblings, Gail Perron and David Perron and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Smith, David W. Smith and Joyce Perron and his late step-mother, Vivian (Larochelle) Smith.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick. Interment will be private.
