(02/08/11) Shirley Mae Wright, affectionately known as â Shirl The Pearlâ, 79 of Coventry, died Sunday surrounded by her loving family at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late James T. Wright.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland and Mary (Cary) Judson. Mrs. Wright had lived in Coventry since 1999, previously living in Palm Harbor, FL for 20 years and Riverside, R. I.
Mrs. Wright had worked as a Supervisor of Credit Management at the former Rhode Island Hospital Trust Bank. While in Florida she was a Sales Clerk at Crowders Hardware Store in Palm Harbor.
Mrs. Wright was a volunteer at an animal rescue preserve for exotic circus and show business animal, especially chimpanzees and gorillas in Florida. She loved to bowl and had bowled a perfect game of 300. She was devoted to and loved her family, had a great sense of humor, wonderful intellect and loved dining out with family and friends.
Mrs. Wright is survived by three children, Steven T. Wright of West Greenwich, Bruce E. Wright of East Providence and Sandra J. Wright of Coventry and a brother Donald Judson of Attleboro, MA, seven grandchildren Chris Nardoza, Jeremy Wright, Sonya Wright, Megan Wright, Kristen Wright, Caitlin Wright, Max Marcotte and one great granddaughter, Lilianna Wright.
