(10/08/11) William P. Pilla, age 81, of West Warwick, previously residing in Cranston, passed away October 7, 2011. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Hopkins) Pilla. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Agostino and Adeline (Aceto) Pilla. Brother to the late Nicholas Pilla and Christina (Pilla) Petrarca. He is survived by his dear twin sister Beatrice Petrarca. Mr. Pilla was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He worked in maintenance for Fleet National Bank for over 25 years prior to his retirement. He will be greatly missed by his two daughters, Jane Lemire and her husband Armand Lemire of Gilmanton, NH and Jill Pilla and her fiancé William Corio of Cranston. “Pop-pop” will also be missed by his three granddaughters Sophie, Mia and Chloe and his one-year old grandson Myles William. He also leaves many precious cousins, nieces and nephews. Visiting hours on Tuesday, October 11, 2001 from 8 - 11 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in \" WOODLAWN\" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, RI.
