(12/16/11) Ruth A. (Fallon) Fairfield, 91, of Shalom Drive, Warwick passed away Thursday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Frederick F. Fairfield, III. Born in New Britain, CT, she was a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Imelda O. (Latoille) Fallon.
Mrs. Fairfield had been the Secretary at Warwick Central Baptist Church and a member of the Mobile Missionaries Assistance Program and the Whirl-A-Ways Square Dance Group.
Ruth took great pride in her family. She was the beloved mother of Alice T. Hawthorne, wife of the late Albert Hawthorne, and Gail C. Mutter, both of Warwick, Patricia A. Piscopio and her husband Thomas of Cranston, Susan M. Smith and her husband A.J. of San Diego, CA and the late Ruth A. Hawthorne, wife of William Hawthorne of Cumberland. Caring sister of Sr. Imelda Maria Fallon, SSJ of Mt. Marie, Holyoke, MA and the late Theresa Bouvier. Loving grandmother of eleven and great grandmother of eleven.
Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in Warwick Central Baptist Church, 3270 Post Road, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday 4-7 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial will be private.
