Eleanor M Petrarca - , RI

(03/08/12) Eleanor M. Petrarca, 84, of West Warwick, passed into the hands of our Lord and the awaiting arms of her beloved husband, Fred, on March 7, 2012 after a brief illness. Formerly of Cranston, Eleanor was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Francis X. Page and Catherine T. Radigan. Eleanor and Fred shared 62 years of happiness and devotion, enjoying the Catskills and Siesta Key in retirement. In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor was pre-deceased by her sister Barbara Gianfrocco, and is survived by one brother, Thomas of Lake Forest, California, several cousins, sisters-in-law Alice Petrarca of West Warwick and Joan Petrarca of Warwick, her dear friend Marion Coughlin of West Warwick, along with many nieces and nephews and their families that loved their Aunt El who all will greatly miss her caring ways. Eleanor was very active in the Msgr. Deangelis Manor I tenants association serving as its Treasurer and had been a long time employee of Bulova Watch before retirement. Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:30 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, contributions to WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 are suggested.
