(04/03/12) Bartholomew \"Bart\" Catanzaro, 87 years old of Warwick, died peacefully April 3, 2012. He was the beloved husband of 64 years of Marjorie A. (Clarke) Catanzaro. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Bartolo and Rose Catanzaro.
He is survived by his devoted children Joanne Bergeron and her husband John of Westerly, James and his companion Dawn Findley of Coventry, Donna Catanzaro of Warwick and the late Jean Anforth; his sister Ida Seddon and brother Anthony Catanzaro. He had seven loving grandchildren Derek, Karl, Stephen, Thomas, Bethany, Sarah and Stacey and four great-grandchildren.
He was a distinguished Lt. Col. Bomber Pilot in The U.S. Air Force during World War II with 35 missions to his credit. He was proud to have served his country.
His Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Burial, with military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 5-8 pm.
