(09/12/10) ZACHOS, JOHN K. 81 of East Greenwich Avenue, Ret. Col. in the U.S. Army for 36 years passed away September 10, 2010 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Leona A. (Pennacchia) Zachos. Born in Bennington, N.H. a son of the late Kostas and Agoritsa (Timbas) Zachos.
Mr. Zachos was the Chief of Housing Management for the Department of Housing, State of Ct.
He was the beloved father of Cynthia Cashman,Esq., of N.J. and Stephanie MacFarlane of PA. Loving grandfather of Connor, Shelby, Madeline and Shane. He was the brother of Sam Zachos of N.H. and the late Peter Zachos.
His funeral is Tuesday at 10:45 a.m from WOODLAWNFuneral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston, followed by a Funeral Service at 12 noon in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, 175 Oaklawn Ave. Cranston Burial with Military Honors will follow in R.I.
