(07/07/12) Rachel A. (Brouillard) Sousa, 91, of West Warwick passed away Thursday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Manuel F. Sousa. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Agenor J. and Delina (Desrochers) Brouillard. She lived most of her life in West Warwick.
Mrs. Sousa was a Lace Worker in the Textile Industry. She was a member of AARP Chapter 2210.
She was the beloved mother of Janice Stone and her husband David of North Kingstown, Jo-Ann R. Pruenca of Coventry and Linda P. Dalton of Coventry. Caring sister of Doris Ruzzo of Coventry. Loving grandmother of Wendy Demaris, David M. Stone, Raymond J. Tarbox. Cherished great-grandmother of Stefanie Demaris, Tyler Stone and Jillian Tarbox and great-great-grandmother of Emma Rose Boone.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 am from THE PRATA-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick. Burial will follow in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Coventry.
