(09/17/10) Joseph S. Horner, 75, of Warwick passed away Thursday at home. He was the beloved husband of Jean M. (Hagerty) Horner, they would have been married 55 years on September 24 th. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas H. and Ruth (Smith) Horner.
Mr. Horner was a driver for Bay State Florist Supply. He was previously a sales representative for Leavitt-Colson for 30 years. He was an avid golfer and was a member of VFW William Shields Post 43.
He was the loving father of Donna M. Vessella of Warwick and the late Stephen J. Horner. Devoted grandfather of Jessica M. Vessella. Cherished great grandfather of Jayden S. Vessella. He was the brother of the late Thomas H. Horner, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation Sunday 4-7 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). His funeral and burial will be private.
