(12/08/12) Lepore, Leonard L., 72, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 8, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Read) Lepore of Warwick for 55 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Mareno and Eva (Soscia) Lepore.
Mr. Lepore was co-owner of Duct Systems Incorporated in Cranston and has been part of the business for 55 years. He was a 50 year member of United Commercial Travelers, a longtime parishioner and usher at Frenchtown Baptist Church, former member and Secretary of The Federation of Square and Round Dancing, a 40 year veteran of ballroom dancing, member of the Health and Welfare Board of the Sheet Metal Workers of RI, Local #17 and member of the Kent County YMCA. Some of his varied interests were traveling, skiing, ballroom dancing and riding roller coasters.
Besides his wife Carol, he is survived by two children: Lawrence L. Lepore and his wife CherylLynn of Little Compton and Lori A. Lynch and fiancé Steve Marold of Warwick; two grandsons: Brandon J. Lynch of Cranston and Matthew Ferrara of Providence and a brother Richard Lepore of CT.
Funeral from Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick on Saturday, December 15 at 9 AM followed with a funeral service at Frenchtown Baptist Church, 1359 Frenchtown Road, East Greenwich at 10 AM. Interment will be in Plainland Cemetery in Coventry. Calling hours will be on Friday from 5-8 PM.
