(01/23/13) Lucy C. (Centracchio) Ventura, 96, of East Greenwich, formerly of West Warwick passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Kent Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Antonio Ventura for 77 years. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rose (Bosco) Centracchio.
A dedicated homemaker, Mrs. Ventura was the best cook in the world.
She was the loving mother of Carol Calicchia of Aurora, CO, Jackie Bearse and her husband Richard of Naples, FL, Anthony J. Ventura and his wife Linda of Rock Hill, SC, Robert E. Ventura and his wife Trish of East Greenwich and the late Edward Ventura, Rita Imondi and Shirley M. Ventura. Caring sister of John Centracchio and Mena Capwell, both of West Warwick and the late Reginald Centracchio, Ida Horta, Millie Petrarca and Filomena Coletta. Cherished grandmother of eleven and great-grandmother of eleven.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Maple Avenue, West Warwick. Burial will follow in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Coventry. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
