(03/11/13) Donald E. Harrington, 83, of Henry Brown Road, West Greenwich, RI, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Center, Providence, RI. Born in West Greenwich, RI, he was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Lord) Harrington and the son of the late Elmer and Mildred (Kettle) Harrington.
Donald was the owner and operator for Harrington Lumber in West Greenwich from the early 60\'s to the early 2000\'s. He was a US Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was also a Mason of the Scituate Chapter #8 of Coventry, RI, a member of the West Greenwich Conservation Committee, a member of the West Greenwich Town Council in the early 60\'s and a constable for the town of West Greenwich.
Donald is survived by two sons; David E. Harrington and John W. Harrington, and a daughter; Sarah A. Harrington. He was predeceased by a brother; Bernard Harrington.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 10:00 am at the RI Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, followed by military honors. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 14, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home and Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI.
