(09/11/13) Margaret J. Walker, 80, of Tarawa Drive, died Wednesday at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert Walker. Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret J. (Bonar) Hodgson. She was an administrative secretary, employed at Rhode Island College from 1969-2000 last working as the secretary to the Provost of the College. She was a member of Trinity Church, Pawtuxet and of the former St. Mary\'s Episcopal Church, Warwick. She was a \"Red Hat\" Lady and an active member of the M.P. TEDs. She will always be remembered for her lifelong dedication to raising her family. She is survived by her children: Dr. Robert A. Walker and his wife Diane, Stephen P. Walker (husband of the late Denise) and Frank J. Walker and his wife Carla, all of Warwick, and her sister Edith M. Frost and her husband Allyn, also of Warwick. She was also a loving “Grandma” to her grandchildren: Terri, Norman, Julie, Sarah, Robert and Daniel, her great grandchildren: Matthew, Drew and Liam and to her great great granddaughter, Haileigh. Funeral Saturday, September 14 at 10 am from Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick followed by a service in Trinity Church, 139 Ocean Avenue, Cranston at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Saturday from 8:30 until 10 am. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston.
