(10/23/10) Paula M. (Henry) Burns, 62, formerly of North Scituate, died peacefully at Riverview Health Care of Coventry on Friday, October 22, 2010. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Alice A. (Nester) Henry of Warwick and the late William R. Henry.
Ms. Burns was a Secretary for the Town of North Scituate for 15 years until her retirement in 2001. She was a graduate of Pilgrim High School and Johnson & Wales University. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church of Warwick and the Gentian Garden Club. Ms. Burns was a lover of animals and an avid horse woman.
Besides her mother, she leaves her sister, Barbara J. Brunner of Placida, FL, a nephew, William Brunner, two nieces: Beth Dion and Susan Farnum. She was the Grand-Aunt of Erin and Laura Dion, Nicholas Brunner, Avery and Mia Farnum, and the late Grace Farnum.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 8:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Greenwood, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Requiem Eucharist at 10:00 am in All Saints Episcopal Church, 111 Greenwich Avenue, Pontiac Village, Warwick. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
