Kathryn "Lillian" (Strunz) Strange - , RI

(10/29/10) Warwick – Kathryn “Lillian” (Strunz) Strange, 92, formerly of Michigan Avenue died Thursday, October 29, 2010 at the Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry. She was the beloved wife of the late John Z. Deveney and the late George A. Strange. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Christopher and Frederika “Katherina” (Schmidt) Strunz. Lillian was a hairdresser and instructor and was retired from the Rhode Island Academy of Hairdressing and from her daughter’s salon, Entourage Salon, in Johnston. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Greene of Hope, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late John Deveney and sister of the late Henry and Otto Strunz. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Prayer Service in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery Columbarium Committal Center, 301 South County Trail, Exeter at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow.
