(09/21/15) Marjorie A. Miga, 86, a resident of Jupiter, Florida, formerly a resident of Warwick, Rhode Island, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, September 19, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was under the care of TrustBridge Hospice of Palm Beach County.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph S. Miga; four children, Thomas (Cynthia) Miga of Cranston, RI; Cheryl (Peter) Gubata of Warwick, RI; Joseph M. Miga of Jupiter, Florida; David (Tami) Miga of Jupiter, Florida; brother Ronald Crowther of Rehoboth, MA.
Marjorie was a loving grandmother of five grandchildren as well as two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by grandson, Michael Gubata, and brother, Carlton Crowther.
She was a registered nurse and became the Director of Nursing at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Warwick, RI and was committed to her profession for many years.
Marjorie enjoyed retirement in Jupiter, Florida and participated and enjoyed outdoor activities including golf and tennis. She was a dedicated volunteer for the Chasewood Condominium Association and served on the Board of Directors for several years.
Visitation for family and close friends will be held at the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI from 8-9 am Friday, September 25, 2015. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, RI at 10:00 a.m. Following Mass, there will be a private graveside service for immediate family members and close friends at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
