(10/24/15) Rose E. (Reynolds) DiCenso, 89, of Warwick died Friday, October 23, 2015 at Scallop Shell Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of Guido DiCenso. They were married 66 years ago in St. Michael Church, Providence. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Walter A. and Dorothy (McEachren) Reynolds.
A kind and gentle woman, Mrs. DiCenso was a devoted wife and mother. She traveled extensively with her husband Guido and enjoyed gardening and sewing. In her later years, they spent winters together in Florida.
Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted daughters Rosanne DiCenso and her husband Stephen W. Rotenberg of Narragansett and Naples, FL and Dianne Radcliff of Warwick; her loving granddaughter Allyson Rose Downey and her husband Daniel Jackson Downey; and her two cherished great grandchildren Logan Jackson Downey and Caroline Rose Downey. She was the sister of the late Walter Reynolds, Loretta DeTroia and Dorothy Lynch.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:30 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 am. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery.
