James A. McGinnes, 94, of North Country Club Drive died Monday at his home. He was the husband of the late Lillian M. (Buckley) McGinnes.
Born in Greenville, a son of the late Francis and Julia (Nichols) McGinnes, he had been a Warwick resident for the past 49 years. Mr. McGinnes was a machinist for Electric Boat before retiring in 1988. He was a WWII Air Force Veteran.
He leaves his children, Bill McGinnes of Chicopee, Ma; Mary-Ann McGinnes of Warwick and Brian J. McGinnes of Idaho Falls, ID; four grandchildren and four great grand-children. He was the brother of the late Emily Brown, Frank, Richard and John McGinnes.
Funeral services will be Friday at 9:30 AM in the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Calling Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
