Winifred L (Allan) Geddes - , RI

(12/21/10) Cumberland – Winifred L. (Allan) Geddes, 98, died Monday, December 20, 2010 at Shady Acres Nursing Home, West Kingston. She was the wife of the late William J. Geddes. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James T. and Alice (Agnew) Allan, she raised her family in Smithfield and had lived in Cumberland for over 50 years. Mrs. Geddes worked in various local parish rectories before retiring. She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Charron of Richmond; one son, William J. Geddes of Cumberland; one brother, Raymond Allan; one sister Eileen Smith; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Alfred P. Hamilton, Jr., Raymond and Robert Hamilton, and Elaine W. Williams and the sister of the late Leslie and Vincent Allan. A Prayer Service will be held THURSDAY, DECEMBER 23 at 7 P.M. at the BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited and may call THURSDAY 5-7 P.M.
