Robert R. Wain, 68 of Warwick, died Thursday January 6, 2011 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Gail I. ( Kinney ) Wain whom he had been married to for 45 wonderful years.
Born in North Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Charles and Blanche (Alix) Wain and lived in North Attleboro before moving to Coventry 25 years ago. Mr. Wain served in the U. S. Army from 1966 to 1968 during the Vietnam War.
He was a Toolmaker until his retirement. Bob then worked at the Coventry Walmart in the Garden Department. He was known for his fun loving personality, making people laugh, and keen sense of humor. He loved to spend time in the yard, playing with his grandchildren and taking his much deserved daily nap.
Besides his wife Gail he is survived by four daughters, Kerri Prudhomme of Coventry, Koren Payton of Warwick, Heather Byrnes of Smithfield and Rosemary Doxsee of Brockton, MA. He was the grandfather of Alyssa, Taylor, Mandi, Emma and Tucker. Mr. Wain was the brother of Richard, Theresa, Blanche, Bernadette and the late Henry, Norman Charles, Albert and Donald.
