(01/09/11) DELLO IACONO, ANGELINA (Caprio) 91, passed peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, January 7, 2011. She resided in West Warwick, Rhode Island and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, until moving to Punta Gorda, Florida, one year ago to live with her daughter Fran and husband Art. Angie was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Dello Iacono. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Antonio and Carolina (Petropaolo) Caprio. Before retiring in 1973, Angie worked in the jewelry industry, first at Uncas, then at Coro. She was proud to be the first female union representative for her co-workers at Coro. In the early 1950\\\'s, Angie also started a Rhode Island based travelling dry-goods business which she successfully operated for ten years. Throughout her life, Mrs. Dello Iacono practiced her family\\\'s tradition of giving. She volunteered in nursing homes, helped families in need and donated Christmas gifts to under- privileged children, which she began buying each January. Family, friends, travelling to interesting places/countries and being charitable were the cornerstones of her life. Angie is survived by her loving daughters, Frances and husband Arthur St. Lawrence of Punta Gorda, Florida and Maria and Husband Dr. Joseph Latina of West Warwick. She was the proud grandmother of Maria and husband Matthew Baxter of Palm City, Florida, and Andrea and her husband James Martin of Charleston, South Carolina. Her four great-granddaughters, Sophia and Olivia Baxter and Rachel and Isabella Martin were the light in her life. She is further survived by more than thirty nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved. Angelina was the sister of the late Filomena D\\\'Aguanno and the late Luigi, Paride, Nicola, Salvatore, Antonio, Joseph, William and Alberto Caprio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 10:00 A.M. at our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Brayton Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Calling hours AND FLOWERS are respectfully omitted. For online condolences, please visit www.WoodlawnGattone.com
