(01/12/11) Clifford E. Fish, 88, of Warwick, passed away Tuesday at home. He was the beloved husband of Marion L. (Benson) Fish for 68 years. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Earle C. and Anna C. (Holmander) Fish. Mr. Fish was a Technician for New England Telephone & Telegraph, now Verizon, until his retirement in 1983 and served in The United States Army as a Sergeant during WW II. He was a communicant of All Saints Church and served on the vestry. He was a member of Manchester Lodge F&AM #12 and active for many years in the R.I. Shriners Organization. Mr. Fish was a volunteer and member of the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He was the loving father of Stephen R. Fish and his wife Arlene of Cranston, and the late Jeffrey E. Fish, husband of Virginia L. Fish of Charlotte, NC. Cherished grandfather of Stephen E. Fish and Jason C. Fish and great grandfather of three. Caring brother of Earle C. Fish, Lucille N. Melvin and the late Kenneth E. Fish, Lloyd S. Fish, Sr., and Albert C. Fish. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Requiem Eucharist at 9:00 am in All Saints Episcopal Church, 111 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to All Saints Church, 111 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated.
