(01/31/11) Cumberland – Dorothy M. (Hunt) Horton, 90, of 2065 Mendon Road died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Oakland Grove Health Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Everett W. Horton. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late John R. and Anne (Sanborn) Hunt, she had lived in Pawtucket until moving to Cumberland in 1946. She had also lived in Northford, CT and Citrus Springs, FL. During the 1970’s, she worked as a waitress at the old Koffee Kup Restaurant in Cumberland. She was also a member of the Chimney Hill Tenants Association. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Boynes of Cumberland; four sons, Everett W. Horton of Las Vegas, NV, Donald W. Horton of South Dartmouth, MA, Douglas P. and Kenneth J. Horton, both of Cumberland; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including her dear niece, Carole Knoph. She is also survived by her lifelong friend of 70 years, Dorothy Angell. She was the sister of the late Rev. John Hunt, Jr., Grace Goffe and Ruth Palme. Her funeral will be held THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3 at 11 A.M. at BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
