Lester R. Jenison, 91 of Warwick, died Friday January 28, 2011 at the Scandinavian Home, Cranston. He was the husband of the late Flora A. ( Taylor ) Jenison.
Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Irving and Signe L. (Olson) Jenison, he had lived in Rhode Island moving to Florida in 1973 returning to Rhode Island three years ago. Mr. Jenison served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and was a survivor of the invasion of Anzio, Italy where he was wounded.
Mr. Jenison had been the owner of Bay View Oil Co. before his retirement. He was a member of Warwick Lodge # 16, F. & A. M. now affiliated with Manchester Lodge #12 A. & F. M. of Coventry.
He is survived by four sons: Charles S. Jenison of S. Attleboro, MA, Joel W. Jenison of FL, Thomas L. Jenison of Wakefield, RI, Eric T. Jenison of FL., three granddaughters Christine Jenison, Keri-Anne Jenison and Marissa Jenison and his sister Anna Nelson of Socco, ME,
Friends may call at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home and Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, Friday February 4, 2011 from 6-8pm with a funeral service following the calling hours at 8pm.
