(08/15/10) Sherry L. Mortin, 38, of West Warwick, died peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital on August 11, 2010. Born in South Kingstown, she was the loving daughter of Robert S. Mortin and Linda L. (Pierce) Mortin of North Kingstown. She was the fiancée of Edward G. Jencks of West Warwick. Sherry was a 1990 graduate of North Kingstown High School who worked as a CNA and as a retail associate in department stores. She attended St. Paul\'s Episcopal Church, Wickford. She was a kind, caring, and compassionate person who enjoyed reading, cooking, the ocean, Beavertail State Park, and spending time with her family and friends. Besides her parents and fiancée, she leaves her son, Tyler Pierce Lake of West Warwick; Two brothers, Robert S. Mortin, Jr. and his wife Evelyn of North Kingstown, and Christopher T. Mortin of North Kingstown. She was the loving aunt of Shelby N. Mortin, Courtney E. Mortin, Christopher “C.J.” T. Mortin, Jr., and Corey R. Mortin. She was the granddaughter of the late Alonzo and Florence Pierce. At Sherry\'s request, her funeral and burial will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford.
