(08/14/10) Carol C. (French) Caldwell, 80, of Hillard Avenue, Warwick passed away Wednesday August 11, 2010 at home. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Clara (Milligan) French.
Mrs. Caldwell was a Supervisor in the Payroll Department of the State of Rhode Island for 30 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Warwick.
She was the beloved mother of Paul M. Caldwell and his wife Lori of Glocester. Loving grandmother of Kailey Caldwell. Caring godmother of Gary S. French. Cherished aunt of several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William and Robert French, Shirley E. Standring and Joyce Pierce.
Visitation will be held Monday August 16, 2010 from 9:30-10:30 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am in St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The R.I. Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907 would be appreciated.
