(08/16/10) Salvatore F. Impagliazzo, 81 of East Greenwich died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at home with his loving and much-loved family by his side. He was the husband of Betty (Graham) Impagliazzo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Fabrizio (Fred) and Rose (Barbato) Impagliazzo.
In addition to his wife he leaves his children, Lauren E.I. Slocum of Warwick, Russell G. Impagliazzo of San Diego, Douglas J. Impagliazzo, and Cara E. McHugh of Warwick and grandchildren Alicia, Nick, Sean, Makaela, Ian, Alexa and Theodore. He is also survived by a brother Fred Russell of North Carolina.
He is known for his passion for fishing in the waters of Rhode Island. He also liked to take long walks, stopping to look at gardens and wildflowers and always literally smelling the roses. He will most be remembered for his joy in spending time with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Graveside Service Thursday at 11:30 am in Glenwood Cemetery, 316 Cedar Avenue, East Greenwich. The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the graveside service at 211 Carlton Avenue, Warwick. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
