(08/17/10) Earl D. Smith, 74, of Beach St., died Sunday August 15, 2010 in the Westerly Hospital. He was the husband of Elizabeth S. (Wisk) Smith. Mr. Smith was born in Providence, the son of the late Alexander E. and Fannie E. (Titus) Smith and had been a resident of Coventry for the past twenty three years. He was the production general manager for the former Nyman Manufacturing Co. in East Providence for several years a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Cranston and was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. Mr. Smith was Vice President of Ocean State Artisans and coordinator of the Ocean State Art Craft Show this past November.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son Stephen E. Smith and his wife Pamela, daughter Catherine E. OâBrien and her husband Raymond, all of Coventry, six grandchildren, Tabitha and Alex Smith, Jim and Emily Abbaticola, Raymond and Lizzy OâBrien and a sister Elizabeth A. DâAndrea of East Greenwich.
