(11/29/11) Stephen C. Skwirz, 60, of Warwick formerly of Cumberland passed away Sunday at home. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Marylee A. (Kois) Skwirz.
Mr. Skwirz was employed with H.G.A. Industries until his retirement. He was a member of the former Polish White Eagles Club.
He was the beloved father of Timothy Skwirz and his wife Carrie of Bensalem, PA. Loving brother of Frank Skwirz of Garland, TX, Ann Smith of Ashaway, Marylee Skwirz of Houston, TX and Claire Tullier of Dallas, TX. Cherished grandfather of two.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 5-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to the St. Anthony\'s Church Soup Kitchen, 10 Sunset Ave., West Warwick, RI 02893 would be appreciated.
