(12/05/11) Paul W. Blaine, 82, of East Greenwich, died peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Kent Hospital. Born in Northfield, VT he was a son of the late William B. Blaine and Diana (Perra) Blaine. He was the husband of the late Marie R.D. (Bisson) Blaine.
Mr. Blaine was employed as an Electrician with the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics in Groton, CT until his retirement in 1987. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed NASCAR.
He leaves his three devoted daughters: Joan Blade of Warwick, Diane Blais of Coventry, and Linda E. Holmander of East Greenwicih. Loving brother of Henry Blaine of NH, James Blaine of NH, Rosalie Reynolds of West Warwick, Peggy Clarke of NH, Pauline Rock of NH, and the late William Blaine and William Bernard Blaine, Jr. Cherished grandfather of five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
His funeral and burial will be private. Gifts in his memory to the American Heart Association, 1 State Street, Suite 200, Providence, RI 02908 will be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME.
