(12/15/11) Beverly R. (Knight) Bestwick, 87, of Scenic Drive, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 10, 2011 in the St. Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich. She was the widow of Frederick K. Bestwick who jointly owned and operated with his wife the Beverly Lace Co. in Coventry.
She was born in Coventry, a daughter of the late Albert and Grayce (Richmond) Knight and had been a resident of West Warwick for the past thirteen years previously living most of her life in Coventry. She enjoyed the winters in Seminole, FL for over thirty years. Mrs. Bestwick had been a saleslady in the Providence Outlet, Shepard and Gladdings stores for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Bestwick is survived by a daughter Elizabeth A. Bestwick of West Warwick, son Frederick R. Bestwick and his wife Barbara of Chichester, NH; two granddaughters, who will sadly miss their grandmother, Maryann Tomasso and Beverly Lyn Duffy both of West Warwick and four great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Grayce Pellett.
Funeral service Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 10 am in the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 pm.
