(12/15/11) Carlo A. \"Carl\" Melone, 81, of Pontiac Street, Warwick passed away Wednesday at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Roseanna (Lancellotta) Melone. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony and Flora (Rosati) Melone.
Carl was the Manager of Fain Floor Covering of Warwick and served in The United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the East Natick Veterans Association of Warwick.
He was the loving brother of Frank Melone of Warwick and Anne LaBelle of Narragansett. Cherished uncle of several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday 4-7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Carl\'s memory to St. Jude Children\'s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
