(04/28/12) Adele O. (Baffoni) Fortin-Reed, 91, of Warwick passed away Friday at Coventry Health Center. She was the wife of the late Clarence D. \"Tex\" Reed and the late Joseph R. Fortin. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Sabatino and Antonetta (DeMichele) Baffoni.
Mrs. Reed was a Crossing Guard for the City of Warwick for 32 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church where she served as president of The Ladies of St. Anne and a member of the FAR Club.
She was the beloved mother of Samuel R. Fortin of Newborn, GA, Robert D. Fortin of Americus, GA and the late Roland J. Fortin. Caring mother-in-law of Barbara A. Fortin, Priscilla Fortin-McCarthy and Susan C. Fortin. Loving grandmother of Pamela Fortin, Dianna Williams, Chandler Fortin and Nathan Fortin. Cherished great-grandmother of Savannah Williams. She was the sister of the late Anthony F. Baffoni, Evelyn Cantone, Vincenza Buretti, Ann Mazza, Elena Cormier, and Margaret Andrade.
Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation on Monday from 9:00-10:00 am in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 596 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
