(10/02/12) East Greenwich â Carrol G. (Lewis) Plouff, 73, of Sleepy Hollow Road, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Charles H. Plouff. Mr. and Mrs. Plouff celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on June 20, 2012.
Born in Providence, a daughter of Clarence and Stella (Podworny) Lewis, she was employed as a bookkeeper for over thirty years. During her career Carrolâs employers included Greenwich Hardware and North Kingstown Animal Hospital.
Her family is remembering her as a caring person, who had a sense of humor and who was always there for others. They easily can recall the tastes and smells of her cooking and baking. Carrol loved to shop and was a âcraftyâ person enjoying all types of needlework especially knitting and quilting.
Besides her husband she is survived by her daughters Lynn M. Greene of East Greenwich and Lori A. Shogren of Warwick; sisters Rose Martellucci of Warwick and Stella Moitozo of Rehoboth, MA; grandchildren Erin and Eric Greene, and Davey and Melissa Shogren; and great granddaughter Alyson Shogren.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Calling hours on Thursday from 5:00 â 8:00 PM. Burial will take place at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery in North Kingstown.
